Foreign Wishes podcast your journey to the Magic Kingdom as well as Universal Studios and all the parts in between.
Speaker A:Lauren Mallard of all the magic Travel, joining us.
Speaker A:How are you?
Speaker A:How's your summer going so far?
Speaker B:Oh, it is good.
Speaker B:How about yours?
Speaker A:Good.
Speaker A:I just got back from visiting my folks down in Florida, helping them with some home projects.
Speaker A:Went nice to Epcot center for the day and I even got nine holes of golf in at Oak Trail.
Speaker B:Very nice.
Speaker B:How was that?
Speaker A:That was really great.
Speaker A:My father and I have played golf in 10 states over the, you know, 30 plus years that we've played golf together, but we never played at Disney World, so it was like we wanted to try it.
Speaker A:Like I say, it's walking combining two passions together.
Speaker A:Exactly.
Speaker A:And he just really, really loved it.
Speaker A:And he's in his 70s, so I was a little worried about, yeah, walking course and it was hot, but.
Speaker A:And the heat got to me, but not to him.
Speaker A:Now he got a, he got a push cart that came with an umbrella attachment, so.
Speaker A:So he was able to get an.
Speaker B:Umbrella shoe under there.
Speaker A:I didn't have one, so I had to walk with the heat.
Speaker A:But I started, started fading a little bit, like after the sixth hole.
Speaker B:I can imagine that heat is no joke down there right now, let me tell you.
Speaker A:You know, it's fun when you, you know, as a. I play golf around as much as I can.
Speaker A:And one of the things that golfers complain about is that pro shops aren't exactly friendly.
Speaker A:They get the, you know, where's your tea time?
Speaker A:You got this.
Speaker B:Sure.
Speaker A:And they couldn't have been more friendly.
Speaker A:If you love the way Disney treats you when you go there.
Speaker A:Like this was that times 10.
Speaker B:It continue.
Speaker B:Gave.
Speaker A:They gave us a ball marker.
Speaker A:They gave us a golf ball memorabilia, like, kind of told them what this was.
Speaker A:Got pictures taken, got pictures taken near the Mickey Bunker.
Speaker A:So that was really, really fun.
Speaker A:So it was a really good trip.
Speaker A:We went to Epcot Center.
Speaker A:I want to get that to later because I want to tell you about my experience at Garden.
Speaker B:Oh, good.
Speaker B:I'm excited.
Speaker A:We decided that this summer because many people are, you know, still planning some trips.
Speaker A:It's going to start winding down with school happening and maybe we would start going over some of the rides at Disney World and give them some letter grades.
Speaker B:I love it.
Speaker A:Back to school, back to school.
Speaker A:So we figured I'd throw a educational angle to this podcast with schools starting in a lot of places around the country.
Speaker A:And a lot of this is because I find myself talking more and more to People about, like, people go, I am.
Speaker A:I'm taking my kid to Disney World and I give them advice on rides.
Speaker A:And I find my opinions of rides have gone up and some have gone down as.
Speaker A:As the years have gone by.
Speaker A:So I thought this would be kind of a fun exercise of giving letter grades to what we think of the Magic Kingdom attractions.
Speaker A:All right, so let's start with Main street, and let's go with the Walt Disney World R Railroad.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker A:Now, this is a ride I don't do, really.
Speaker A:And I'll tell you why.
Speaker A:And I realized this because I was.
Speaker A:I was talking this over with my folks who go there a lot.
Speaker A:And a lot of the times when I go, I just enter the park.
Speaker B:Sure.
Speaker A:And I know it stops at various parts, but I don't go back to the main station to go.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:So I gave this a B because Walt loves trains and people do seem to like it, but I don't know if there's anything all that spectacular about it other than transportation.
Speaker B:Yeah, there's not.
Speaker B:And you bring up a good point.
Speaker B:I never.
Speaker B:Very, very rarely do I get on it at the main station.
Speaker B:And I do utilize the train, but I do it more so from either Frontierland or from the back of Fantasy Land, just to get from point A to point B.
Speaker A:Exactly.
Speaker B:And I do enjoy it.
Speaker B:And honestly, I use it at a time when I'm too tired to walk to the front of the park or if it's super hot.
Speaker B:Or you can also, you can kind of sneak popcorn there.
Speaker B:They don't like for you to have popcorn on board.
Speaker B:But if you have a bucket and you're just kind of munching along the way, then that's what I do.
Speaker B:You know, I think I'm probably going to give it a B minus only because it's so slow when you're on there.
Speaker B:And I feel like it takes forever to get everybody loaded, and then it takes forever to get ready to go.
Speaker B:And so by the time you get there, you could have walked there probably three times.
Speaker B:But just having that.
Speaker B:That minute to breathe and a little breeze in.
Speaker B:In your face as you're going is kind of.
Speaker B:I mean, I think it's worth doing.
Speaker A:You make a good point using it as transportation because they used to have that Skyliner in park, and then they took that down.
Speaker A:It used to go from Tomorrowland to Fantasyland, and now there is no other way to get transportation from one end of the park to the other other than walking, except using the train.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker A:So, all right, so it's a B and a B minus for us.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:Well, let's start in Adventureland.
Speaker A:So let's go to Jungle Cruise.
Speaker A:What great grade would you give Jungle Cruise?
Speaker A:This is an old, old, like, original ride.
Speaker B:So Jungle Cruise is not my favorite.
Speaker B:I'm gonna give it a D. Okay.
Speaker B:Because I think that it' for nostalgia reasons.
Speaker B:Like, you gotta try it once.
Speaker B:But it's one that I always advise people.
Speaker B:Never, ever, ever wait a long time for this because you're gonna be disappointed if you do.
Speaker B:So you're gonna find fake animals.
Speaker B:Of course, you're gonna find the same jokes from the skippers that you find every year before, but it is one that I absolutely do not have to do.
Speaker A:I agree.
Speaker A:I gave it a C. And I.
Speaker A:And I think a lot of it is just having gone on it a number of times, but a lot of it is.
Speaker A:And again, I'm gonna.
Speaker A:This will probably be a reoccurring theme throughout.
Speaker A:Throughout a lot of these rides, but a lot of it is you feel like you're on an old ride when you're on it.
Speaker A:It's not, you know, it's.
Speaker A:It's stuff that you've seen if you're old enough.
Speaker A:You've probably seen your whole life at other kind of parks with the basic animatronics.
Speaker A:You're right.
Speaker A:The jokes get a little corny.
Speaker A:That's kind of the point.
Speaker A:But I'm with you.
Speaker A:If I see that line at, like an hour, I don't.
Speaker A:I don't even go near.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:I just.
Speaker A:There's not a reason for me to wait in line for an hour for that ride.
Speaker A:Swiss Family Robinson, Treehouse.
Speaker A:I give it a D. I don't even.
Speaker A:Like, I don't even see it.
Speaker B:No.
Speaker A:Like, it's not even in my range of vision when I'm in Adventureland.
Speaker B:No.
Speaker B:And it shouldn't be.
Speaker B:My kids wanted to go up there one time, and so we did.
Speaker B:And we got all the way up, and they're like, okay, well, what is it?
Speaker B:And I'm like, well, this is it.
Speaker B:And then we came back down.
Speaker B:So, yeah, I'm going to fail this one.
Speaker B:It's going to be a big fat F for me.
Speaker A:Now my father tells a story when we were.
Speaker A: We went first went in: Speaker A:Now you remember.
Speaker A:I don't want to date us.
Speaker A:But this was.
Speaker A:There was nothing you could look up.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:Like, when you go to Disney World.
Speaker B:You went through everything.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:Other than, hey, there's a.
Speaker A:They got to cool this.
Speaker A:So they Got to like, he went completely blind, had no idea what it was.
Speaker A:And we go into the park and he sees the castle and he tells a story about.
Speaker A:The first thing we did was the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse.
Speaker A:Anyway, don't tell me this is all like.
Speaker A:This is what this is.
Speaker B:This is what everything is going to be.
Speaker A:Everything is going to be a walk through.
Speaker A:See it, you know, like, he, he just had no idea what the park really was.
Speaker A:And he always tells that story about.
Speaker A:Because he doesn't do it either.
Speaker A:And I'.
Speaker A:I don't know anybody who does.
Speaker B:No, no.
Speaker A:They even read Swiss Family Robinson anymore.
Speaker A:Oh, no, no, no, no.
Speaker A:I gave, I gave this a D. Yeah.
Speaker A:Pirates of the Caribbean.
Speaker A:Pirates of the Caribbean, however you want to pronounce it.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker B:This one is a classic.
Speaker B:I'm gonna give it an A. I.
Speaker A:Love, I love this all the time.
Speaker A:Every time I ride it, I love it.
Speaker A:And I love the story about how Walt, when they were first putting it together before Walt died, and then later on he, they didn't think they needed it.
Speaker A:And then people were saying, wait a minute.
Speaker A:That cool pirate ride you have in California, why don't you have it here?
Speaker A:And so they ended up putting it in Walt Disney World.
Speaker A:I, I, I don't mind the changes they've made to it.
Speaker A:I love it.
Speaker A:I think they added the, the Johnny Depp, you know, Captain Jack Sparrow has it flows, it integrates into it, and it allows for a future generation to enjoy the ride via the movies rather than the movie via the ride, which I think you have to do as you change generations.
Speaker A:So I gave this an A plus.
Speaker B:Yeah, I love it.
Speaker A:It's such a classic.
Speaker A:Aladdin, magic carpets.
Speaker A:I gave it a C and I said this.
Speaker A:I don't even think it should be there.
Speaker A:I'm, I think it's carnival.
Speaker A:Ish.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:And I think there's room for one spinner, and that's it.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker A:But I, I don't know.
Speaker B:I'm gonna disagree with you here.
Speaker B:Only because Cora is still at the age that she loves the spinners.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:The spinners are cool for young kids.
Speaker B:So we have to do both.
Speaker B:We do Dumbo, and then we do the carpets, and so we sometimes do the carpets twice.
Speaker B:Because you can get spit on at the moment.
Speaker A:That's right.
Speaker A:That is very true.
Speaker B:And so if you're at just the right height, then you can get spit on.
Speaker B:I'm gonna give it a B plus just because.
Speaker B:Just because it's fun for the kids, it gives them something on that side of the pocket.
Speaker A:Here's.
Speaker A:Here is my little caveat to this, because I did put it in my notes.
Speaker A:If.
Speaker A:If you take it out, there's.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:There's nothing else.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:It's not like you can't be ridiculous.
Speaker A:You can refurbish a ride or you're using real estate that's not used.
Speaker A:If you take it out, it just becomes more places for people to.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker A:You know, hang out.
Speaker A:There's.
Speaker A:It doesn't take up a lot of space.
Speaker A:So if you're going to it.
Speaker A:I'd rather have an attraction than no attraction.
Speaker B:Sure.
Speaker A:Enchanted Tiki Room.
Speaker A:Now, I know this has gone through many iterations.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:And the fascination that Walt had with animatronic talking birds that he found.
Speaker A:And then he said, we can do this and let's do this better.
Speaker A:Adds to the nostalgia.
Speaker A:I don't know if it works.
Speaker A:You've got young kids.
Speaker A:Does it still work or is it a show just to get some ac?
Speaker B:So I. I do think that the number one thing here is to get the ac.
Speaker B:Now, the other pro here is you can actually eat and drink inside.
Speaker A:Oh, that's great.
Speaker B:The Tiki Room.
Speaker B:So if you wanted to get your dole Whip and go inside, then you can also eat that without it melting.
Speaker B:So that is a plus.
Speaker B:We've only done it once with our kids.
Speaker B:I think once.
Speaker B:Once is good enough.
Speaker B:But I do.
Speaker B:I do like it still.
Speaker B:I mean, it's still kind of catchy.
Speaker B:And you go in there.
Speaker B:I'm going to give it a B minus.
Speaker A:I. I will.
Speaker A:I will tell you that it adds, you know, a lot of these.
Speaker A:Again, they're all so well themed into the Adventureland.
Speaker A:And I think this one in particular, it really does make you feel like, especially with the whole Dull Whip atmosphere, you really do feel like you are in, you know, a really adventurous kind of place when you see the talking birds.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:Let's venture out of that and let's head over to Frontierland.
Speaker A:Only three attractions there, but some big ones.
Speaker A:Let's go big.
Speaker A:Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Speaker A:It's closed now, but I think this is an A. I think the theming is great.
Speaker A:Is it true you can pass a kidney stone on this ride?
Speaker A:This is what I keep hearing.
Speaker A:I don't know if that's true.
Speaker B:You know, that would be really interesting to.
Speaker B:To follow story and see.
Speaker B:I think you probably could.
Speaker A:I don't know if that's true or not, but I've heard this is sort of attached, like the Way the ride is built.
Speaker A:I think the roller coaster is fantastic.
Speaker A:But I, I go back to the theming.
Speaker A:I think the theming is spot on.
Speaker A:Outstanding.
Speaker B:It's really great.
Speaker B:And it's one of the longer coasters that you're going to find in Disney World.
Speaker B:It's probably been one of my favorites for the entire time I've been going, so I would give it an A.
Speaker A:I gave it an A. Tiana's Bayou Adventure.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:I'm still gonna give this an A too, because Splash Mountain was my favorite R. And I, I do miss that old Splash Mountain theming a little bit.
Speaker B:But Tiana's has done so well.
Speaker B:I'm gonna give it an A. I.
Speaker A:Just gave it a slightly less than as a B plus.
Speaker A:I, I, look, I wasn't expecting an improvement to the ride.
Speaker A:They weren't going to change the ride.
Speaker B:Sure.
Speaker A:But I didn't really think they made it was that much of an improvement from Splash Mountain.
Speaker A:I thought the animatronics on Splash Mountain were great.
Speaker A:I think the animatronics here are great.
Speaker A:Again, it does have a feeling that the theming is.
Speaker A:Might be a little bit better, but I don't think it's as much of an improvement as you would expect in 20, 23, 24, as you would want, given that, you know, Splash Mountain was in late 80s.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:And now you're, you're doing this.
Speaker A:Just a couple years ago, I felt like it was just carbon copy.
Speaker B:That's right.
Speaker A:Paste the animatronics.
Speaker A:So just a slightly, little bit less.
Speaker A:Country Bear Jamboree is this.
Speaker B:Have you seen the refurbished show Made a comeback.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker B:But I did not.
Speaker B:I haven't seen the refurbished show, but I've heard good things about it.
Speaker B:I haven't seen this show in probably 20 years.
Speaker A:I haven't seen the show either.
Speaker A:I haven't seen the show in a very, very long time.
Speaker A:I think my daughter, who's now a college junior, I think she was 5, and I brought her in while my brother and my son and my, they went on the railroad, I think.
Speaker A:The Thunder Mountain.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:And I just took her over there to watch the show and then took my turn.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:I'm not itching to go back, so I'm gonna give it a C minus.
Speaker A:Yeah, I gave it a C. I just, you know, I remember it from my youth and a couple of times seeing it, but it's not, I make a point, you know.
Speaker A:Point.
Speaker A:Point on it.
Speaker A:Liberty Square.
Speaker A:Well, let's start with the hall of Presidents.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker A:Because this.
Speaker A:This is.
Speaker A:This is where my wife and I completely disagreed on when I ran through this.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker A:I gave it a B.
Speaker A:And I gave it a B because I like history, but I marvel at the animatronics.
Speaker A:I think that the idea of having an animatronic for every president, even Millard Fillmore, is a pretty unbelievable accomplishment.
Speaker A:The show is, you know, historical.
Speaker A:It.
Speaker A:It's great air conditioning.
Speaker A:It's great to relax.
Speaker A:I gave it a B.
Speaker A:But people say this is the.
Speaker A:This is nap time, baby.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:So for those exact same reasons, I'm gonna give it the same grade.
Speaker B:I'm gonna give it a beat.
Speaker B:Although I have not seen this 1 In probably 20 years, I don't make it a point to stop.
Speaker B:And I do think that my big kids are probably at the age that they might enjoy it one time and then we wouldn't have to go back again.
Speaker B:But I do think it's.
Speaker B:It's worth having that history.
Speaker B:The animatronics are really cool.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:I'm gonna give it a beat.
Speaker A:I think, too, when you have a.
Speaker A:A land and it's not large, Liberty Square, and it's kind of colonial, this fits beautifully.
Speaker A:There's nothing else you'd want in there.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker A:But I'm like, you.
Speaker A:It.
Speaker A:It's not something that we run to.
Speaker A:Like, my wife doesn't really enjoy it, so it's not something we do.
Speaker A:It takes a long time because the shows are 20 minutes long.
Speaker A:And so if you're.
Speaker A:You got to commit a while to this because you're gonna wait, then you go into the show, sit down, etc.
Speaker A:So it can be.
Speaker A:If you're there just one day.
Speaker B:Sure.
Speaker A:Outside of the air conditioning.
Speaker A:And there's other things to do with air conditioning.
Speaker A:This may not be something you care to see.
Speaker B:Not a big priority.
Speaker A:And then Haunted Mansion, which to me is an A plus.
Speaker B:I was gonna say, we all know where you're going with this one, and I'm gonna give it an A also here.
Speaker B:I just.
Speaker B:I think it's an excellent ride.
Speaker B:My kids have gone through different stages of life where they are like, ah, we don't have to do that one right now.
Speaker B:And I think they're getting back into it, realizing that it's just for fun.
Speaker B:And it's just another one of those classics.
Speaker B:I put it up there with Pirates, Caribbean.
Speaker B:You got to do it.
Speaker A:It's a very, really cool.
Speaker A:People who know the history of it, like, it's a combination of very scary and very fun.
Speaker A:Like, that's what they were kind of going for.
Speaker A:They wanted something that would kind of creep you out.
Speaker A:And then they wanted something that was very whimsical, had a catchy tune, fun ghosts yelling and screaming and whatnot.
Speaker A:And so I think they really did it.
Speaker A:Well, yeah, there are.
Speaker A:If.
Speaker A:If you're.
Speaker A:If your kids do look up and see the hanging person at the moment, like, you know, there's always my way.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:There's might be an explanation to that that you don't really want to give.
Speaker A:But nevertheless, it's still got enough.
Speaker A:It's got enough whimsical atmosphere and it uses pretty old technology, you know, Pepper's ghost and whatnot.
Speaker A:But it still works.
Speaker A:It works.
Speaker A:And the hatbox ghost works.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:I know there was controversy for the people who said you shouldn't be seeing a ghost until Madame Leota calls them.
Speaker A:But where else are you going to put them?
Speaker A:There's no space at the end like at Disneyland.
Speaker A:Fantasy land.
Speaker A:And a lot of attractions to get to here.
Speaker A:Let's start with Seven Dwarves.
Speaker A:Mine train.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker B:I do love Seven Dwarfs.
Speaker B:It's.
Speaker B:It's.
Speaker B:The only problem here is how short it is.
Speaker B:I think especially because it keeps a long line all the time.
Speaker B:I'm gonna give it a B plus just for that reason.
Speaker A:That's exactly what I gave it, a B plus.
Speaker A:I couldn't give it an A.
Speaker A:And I could not explain this last night in going over my grades.
Speaker A:I don't know.
Speaker A:My wife asked me this because I said to her, I feel like it could be better.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:And then she goes, why?
Speaker A:And I go, I don't know.
Speaker A:But I feel like it just could be better.
Speaker B:It needs to be longer.
Speaker A:A little bit better.
Speaker A:Probably longer.
Speaker A:I mean, the trip through the mine is cool.
Speaker A:I feel like there needs to be a little bit more of that.
Speaker A:A little bit more.
Speaker A:I think the theming is cool.
Speaker A:The games are kind of fun.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:But I will say, as far as a cue goes, it.
Speaker A:Even if I've been on the ride a number of times, I have no idea where I'm going half the time.
Speaker A:I see people coming and going and twisting and I don't know how.
Speaker A:You know, I never know if I'm close.
Speaker A:I get.
Speaker A:So it's.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:I feel like though the actual ride could be a touch better.
Speaker A:So that would.
Speaker A:That's what.
Speaker A:Keeping it from an A. I'm at MMP plus Peter Pan's flight.
Speaker A:I gave it an A.
Speaker B:Did you?
Speaker A:I gave it an AIDS.
Speaker A:90 seconds, which is really short for an hour wait.
Speaker B:It is.
Speaker B:And I do think that it is one.
Speaker B:It's one of the classics that I think you do have to do.
Speaker B:But because I.
Speaker B:When I get off of it, I'm just kind of like, I don't understand why that one has such a long ride.
Speaker B:I'm gonna give it a B for that.
Speaker A:I've always.
Speaker A:I like the music.
Speaker A:I kind of like the flight.
Speaker A:I like the idea of it.
Speaker A:To me, I think it's.
Speaker A:It's more about, wow, they really did build this like the 50s for Disneyland.
Speaker A:That's pretty amazing.
Speaker B:Yeah, it's cool.
Speaker A:It's a, you know.
Speaker A:You know, this flying pirate ship that hovers above.
Speaker A:I always remember.
Speaker A:And my first trip again, I was probably nine and my brother is a year younger than me.
Speaker A:And we were riding on it, and my brother.
Speaker A:As we were flying over London, my brother looked down and pointed to the cars that were moving on the bridge.
Speaker A:I didn't notice that.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:And he goes, look, the cars are.
Speaker A:There's cars moving on the bridge.
Speaker A:And every time I ride that, even this year, I remember my brother at 8 years old saying, look, the cars going back and forth.
Speaker A:So that's sort of very, very memorable for me.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:This one I had a really hard time with because I get its detractors and I get it supporters, but It's a Small World.
Speaker B:Oh, man.
Speaker B:Okay, so I do think that It's a Small World is worth writing.
Speaker B:Do I think it could be a couple rooms shorter?
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:Yes, I do.
Speaker A:It's a nine minute ride.
Speaker B:It is really, really long.
Speaker B:But I.
Speaker B:That.
Speaker B:You have to write it.
Speaker B:But I'm still gonna.
Speaker B:I'm gonna give it a C plus.
Speaker A:Yeah, I gave it a C. Okay.
Speaker A:I just.
Speaker A:It never pops anymore.
Speaker A:It.
Speaker A:And I mean, it's a cute song.
Speaker A:It's a cute message.
Speaker A:It's neat to see the different countries.
Speaker A:I think you.
Speaker A:I think.
Speaker A:I don't think it works with the generation that's coming up.
Speaker B:Sure.
Speaker A:I think it's.
Speaker A:I think it's too long for Attention span.
Speaker A:Absolutely.
Speaker A:Shorter.
Speaker A:It's like, okay, I get it.
Speaker A:We're going around the world and we're singing the same song.
Speaker A:Same song.
Speaker A:Different.
Speaker A:Different country.
Speaker A:I got a little bit of flack for this one.
Speaker A:Winnie the Pooh.
Speaker B:Oh, see, I'm gonna agree with Lori here because I already know where she's at.
Speaker B:I love this ride.
Speaker B:I'm gonna give it an A. I get way more excited to ride this ride than I do Peter Pan.
Speaker A:I gave it a B.
Speaker A:And I.
Speaker A:Here's why.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:So I am not asking for Disney to destroy an existing infrastructure.
Speaker A:I get that you took Mr. Toad and you just built it with different scenes.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:But this is another one.
Speaker A:I feel like it could be a little better.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A:Just a little.
Speaker B:But you get to be in the boat and then you get to hop.
Speaker A:It's very.
Speaker A:It's very true.
Speaker A:There is a lot of elements to it.
Speaker A:I don't know why I feel like it just should be a little better.
Speaker A:I don't know.
Speaker A:I think a lot of it is.
Speaker A:I. I've been seeing people going to, like, Tokyo Disney, and they're like, that ride is unbelievable.
Speaker A:Like, modern technology is so great.
Speaker A:I gave it a B.
Speaker A:But I got a lot of flack for that one because we ride it.
Speaker A:It, you know, all the time.
Speaker A:Mad tea party.
Speaker B:Oh, no.
Speaker B:I've gotten better about this one.
Speaker B:But because I do not allow my children to spin.
Speaker A:Oh, good.
Speaker B:When we're in there.
Speaker B:So we actually have to kind of hold the middle thing so that it doesn't spin us.
Speaker B:And for that reason, I'm gonna give it.
Speaker B:I'm still gonna give it a C plus.
Speaker B:Only because I don't like fearing that I'm going to have to spin.
Speaker A:I. I gave it a C. And I have a couple of reasons.
Speaker A:One, I was at an amusement park when my son was little and my brother was in town and his daughter was little, and we went on a teacup ride, and the kid.
Speaker A:It was slow.
Speaker A:It was a slow amusement park day.
Speaker A:And the kid just doubled up the ride.
Speaker A:He just continued it like.
Speaker A:So we got double the journey, and my son and my niece were spinning this like mad.
Speaker B:No.
Speaker A:And I'm not kidding.
Speaker A:Even my brother has got a pretty strong stomach.
Speaker A:Afterwards, we were like, I'm not feeling good.
Speaker A:He's like, I'm not feeling good either.
Speaker A:Those kids just tore that.
Speaker A:So every time I see teacups, I'm just not interested in it.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:Second thing is, I. I have always liked the Alice in Wonderland story.
Speaker A:I like the cartoon.
Speaker A:I. I like the book.
Speaker A:And it.
Speaker A:I think it's too bad.
Speaker A:And again, I understand in the.
Speaker A:In the building of it that this is what the Alice in Wonderland.
Speaker B:Sure.
Speaker A:IP gets.
Speaker A:It just gets a carnival ride.
Speaker B:Sure.
Speaker A:Because it had teacups in the story.
Speaker A:Disneyland has an actual dark ride.
Speaker A:That's really cool.
Speaker A:So I. I kind of.
Speaker A:I'm hating on it a little bit for that.
Speaker A:But I'm not a. I'm just not a teacup person.
Speaker A:Yeah, I just, I don't know.
Speaker A:I've outgrown it.
Speaker A:But I always gave me memories and the kid was cool about.
Speaker A:He's like, hey, I just doubled up the ride for you guys.
Speaker A:Thanks.
Speaker A:I'm now gonna go sit down for about an hour and a half under the sea with the Little Mermaid.
Speaker B:I think this one is a really good one.
Speaker B:Just because it's dark.
Speaker B:It's cool.
Speaker B:But it's not long.
Speaker B:It's just long enough that you get the whole story.
Speaker B:I'm gonna give this one an A minus.
Speaker A:I gave it a B. I think the band scenes, the band is, the band scene is great.
Speaker A:I hear you.
Speaker A:And I talked about this one on another podcast.
Speaker A:They must have thought this was going to be a two hour round.
Speaker B:I think so.
Speaker A:Because that queue is enormous.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:And they haven't shortened it.
Speaker A:Or at least I've never experienced.
Speaker A:No, when I see five minutes, I've never, they've never gone.
Speaker A:Yeah, we just shut this whole like Haunted Mansion will do this.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:You don't have to go through the queue.
Speaker A:They just take you right in the building.
Speaker A:Building.
Speaker A:They.
Speaker A:I have to walk up.
Speaker B:It's gonna, yeah, it's gonna take you that five minutes to walk.
Speaker B:Just to the front.
Speaker A:Just to the front.
Speaker A:And it's never, ever, ever busy.
Speaker A:I've gone on busy days and it's not busy.
Speaker A:I do not know why, but it's never packed.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:And it certainly, when it was built they must have thought this is going to be the most popular thing in the park.
Speaker A:Dumbo, the flying elephant.
Speaker B:This one is a classic.
Speaker B:It's an A for my kids.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:I have to say A here too.
Speaker A:I think I, I, I think spinners are lazy.
Speaker A:But this one has to be it.
Speaker A:You're going to, you're actually going to fly with Dumbo.
Speaker A:That's part of the story.
Speaker A:This is the one I and I will say to the Disney brilliance on this one.
Speaker A:You remember when it was just stand out in the big heat.
Speaker B:Oh yeah.
Speaker A:The middle of, right by the carousel.
Speaker A:Just wait and wait for that thing.
Speaker A:And it was, you never knew how close you were.
Speaker A:And it was one ride and there was only one.
Speaker A:And you'd wait just like, just like you're at a typical carnival or just a regular amusement park park.
Speaker A:And now what they've done with the, with the indoors.
Speaker A:Sit down.
Speaker A:Let your kids play for a while.
Speaker A:Get a beeper.
Speaker A:Go out there when it's your turn.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:Brilliant.
Speaker A:Absolutely brilliant.
Speaker A:Because I wanted my kids to go on that I hated waiting in that.
Speaker A:It was so bad.
Speaker A:It was so bad.
Speaker A:Now they've really, really changed it.
Speaker A:Definitely Prince Charming.
Speaker A:Regal Carousel.
Speaker B:I have to give this one an A.
Speaker B:It's an A only because Cora would literally stay on this all day long if I would let her.
Speaker A:If you look, if you like carousels, there's none.
Speaker A:There's not going to be a carousel.
Speaker A:Better than.
Speaker B:That's right.
Speaker A:This is the.
Speaker A:Everything is beautiful.
Speaker A:Everything is.
Speaker A:Well done.
Speaker A:It is exactly.
Speaker A:When you think of merry go rounds and the elegance of what that ride supposed to be, They've done that multiplied by 10.
Speaker A:It's great.
Speaker A:The Barnstormer.
Speaker A:I haven't had a little kid on this in 20 years.
Speaker B:This one beats me up so bad.
Speaker B:It is.
Speaker B:Is more rough than anything else, I think, in the whole park.
Speaker B:I'm gonna give it a C. I.
Speaker A:I gave it an NA.
Speaker A:I. I have never been on it.
Speaker A:I don't remember my kids being on it.
Speaker A:So I don't know.
Speaker B:But I mean, super quick.
Speaker B:But it is so rough when you're on it.
Speaker A:Is it really?
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:So it's not a smooth.
Speaker B:Oh, no, absolutely not.
Speaker A:My goodness.
Speaker A:What's.
Speaker A:What is it made out of toothpicks?
Speaker B:Yes, pretty much.
Speaker A:All right, let's go to Tomorrowland.
Speaker A:Let's start with Tron.
Speaker B:Ah, I gave it an A. Yeah.
Speaker B:I agree with you.
Speaker B:I really love Tron.
Speaker B:I could be a little longer, but I. I really enjoy it.
Speaker A:60 seconds for, you know, an hour and a half wait sometimes is a little bit much.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:Here's why I like it.
Speaker A:One.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:It is too short.
Speaker A:That's my.
Speaker A:No.
Speaker A:Only knock.
Speaker A:Two.
Speaker A:And I think you and I again talked about this on a podcast.
Speaker A:I think we did it in an episode where we were kind of doing our wishes for the park.
Speaker A:And I said I wanted Tomorrowland to be more tomorrow.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:This is main thing that kind of helps Tomorrow.
Speaker A:Tomorrowland was hurt and bad.
Speaker A:And that's what happens when you have a land based on the future and the future is coming faster than you can change it.
Speaker A:This, though, added a big, big boost to that.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:The whole lighting, the computer stuff, the whole Tron.
Speaker A:Again, if you watch the movie in the 80s, the light cycles were the coolest thing when this.
Speaker A:When video of this ride was coming from Shanghai Disney, everyone was like, well, I can't go to Shanghai Disney, but I'd love to see this.
Speaker A:And they.
Speaker A:And they bought it.
Speaker A:This is an A.
Speaker A:Well done, Space Mountain.
Speaker A:I gave it an A.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker A:I still think I'm Going to get decapitated on this thing every time I ride it.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker B:I will not put my hands up on this ride.
Speaker B:And I'm short and.
Speaker B:But I'm not going to put my hands up because I don't know what's above there.
Speaker B:But I'm going to also give it an A.
Speaker B:Only because it's.
Speaker B:It's a classic.
Speaker A:It is.
Speaker A:And again, if you turn on the lights, it's a pretty much a mouse trappy.
Speaker A:Yeah, you've seen it in carnivals.
Speaker A:It just goes up and then kind of spins, dips, and that's.
Speaker A:It's pretty standard.
Speaker A:But the fact that it's dark, the fact that there's noise, the fact that you are in space makes this.
Speaker A:It's the theming that you want.
Speaker A:It still holds up.
Speaker A:It's approaching 50 years old.
Speaker A:I mean, it's like in the mid-70s when it came aboard.
Speaker A:And yet it's still fantastic.
Speaker A:I think if you want to talk about nostalgia, entering Space Mountain and hearing that music brings back more memories for me than probably any ride.
Speaker B:It's that cool with the.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Futuristic music and that continuous walk up in the little bouncy.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:The bouncy walkway.
Speaker A:It.
Speaker A:It's fantastic.
Speaker A:Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger spin.
Speaker B:Here's where Tomorrowland is going to go downhill for me.
Speaker A:Very much so.
Speaker B:I cannot tell you the last time that I rode Buzz Lightyear, nor have my children wanted to ride Buzz Lightyear.
Speaker B:I am going to give that thing a D minus.
Speaker A:I gave it a D. Exact reason.
Speaker A:Listen, look, I'm begging Disney, shut this down and redo it.
Speaker A:I get it.
Speaker A:Money's tight.
Speaker A:I know, I understand.
Speaker A:You just don't have, you know, unlimited funds.
Speaker A:This thing is.
Speaker B:There is no.
Speaker A:Massively outdated.
Speaker A:Massively outdated.
Speaker A:There is.
Speaker A:I don't even know where my laser gun goes.
Speaker A:I'm not even sure other.
Speaker A:And then, I mean, it's.
Speaker A:It's just.
Speaker A:Look, it beats.
Speaker A:If you had wings.
Speaker A:I understand it, but this is.
Speaker A:This is really needs to be redone.
Speaker A:Astro Orbiter.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:I don't mind this.
Speaker A:It's high up, so they do give you a thrill.
Speaker A:But again, it's just a spinner that goes up and down.
Speaker A:I'm not a huge fan of these because again, I understand they're cheap, they're easy, they don't take up a lot of real estate, but they're pretty basic.
Speaker A:So I gave this a C. I don't think there's anything special about it other than it goes in the sky.
Speaker A:But I can't give it anything other than that.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:I also gave it a C only because it is.
Speaker B:It gets my motion sickness a little more.
Speaker B:It goes a little faster than Dumbo in the carpets and you're higher up, which is cool.
Speaker B:But it gets to me a little bit more.
Speaker A:So I'm going to give it a C. Tomorrowland Speedway.
Speaker B:Oh, no.
Speaker B:Okay, so we do have to still ride this one because it is still fun for my kids.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker B:But I am going to give it a C because it is hot, it is smelly and it is.
Speaker B:It can be.
Speaker B:You can be prone to whiplash if you ride it.
Speaker A:I gave it an F. Okay.
Speaker A:Dump it immediately.
Speaker A:It smells.
Speaker A:It's horrible.
Speaker A:It's old.
Speaker A:Okay, now I get it.
Speaker A:There are going to be people saying my kid loves it.
Speaker A:Your kid will love it.
Speaker A:If they just redesign it.
Speaker B:That's right.
Speaker A:If they just add something else.
Speaker A:If they add a Wreck It Ralph, Sugar Land Express type of thing.
Speaker A:If you go in that mode, they'll love it just as much.
Speaker A:If you get rid of the track and put in some sort of electronic magnet ride that will go fast sometimes and slow.
Speaker A:It would be much better.
Speaker A:Your kid will love it more.
Speaker A:This is 50s technology and I. I mean this is 70 plus years old technology.
Speaker A:It it.
Speaker A:And it takes up so much real estate.
Speaker A:But the idea that they're still using gas powered cars.
Speaker B:Can you imagine being the cast members that have to work in that all day every day.
Speaker B:Oh.
Speaker A:Drives you crazy.
Speaker A:Monsters Inc.
Speaker A:Laugh floor.
Speaker A:I thought they would do something with the space where they haven't never done with it.
Speaker A:I. I haven't done it in a very, very long time.
Speaker A:9.
Speaker B:So if this tells you anything, Monsters Inc. Is by far my favorite Disney movie.
Speaker A:Got it.
Speaker B:But I have not been on this ride and on this attraction in probably 10 plus years.
Speaker B:Because I agree with you.
Speaker B:Like it isn't.
Speaker B:It is just not well done.
Speaker B:And I'm gonna give it a D. Yeah.
Speaker A:I'm glad Monsters Inc. Is getting its deserved reward at Hollywood Studios eventually.
Speaker A:With the ride everyone thought should have been a ride when they watched the movie again.
Speaker A:I. I know that that's not ride space over there.
Speaker A:So something better than nothing.
Speaker A:Because on the other side was something and now it's nothing.
Speaker A:And no one is saying what that other side is going to be.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:With where Stitch's great escape is.
Speaker A:That used to be Mission of Mars.
Speaker A:Now it's an empty used to be Alien encounter.
Speaker A:The old scary alien encounter.
Speaker A:And now it became Stitch and then they shut that down.
Speaker A:And nothing.
Speaker B:That's right.
Speaker A:And I know I never understood.
Speaker B:I wonder what's in there.
Speaker A:People don't like it.
Speaker A:So what.
Speaker A:At least it's something thing.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker A:The more people you can put in an attraction, the better it is for everyone.
Speaker A:Even if that attraction.
Speaker A:But Monsters, Inc.
Speaker A:Laugh Floor again.
Speaker A:I just.
Speaker A:I haven't been in a long time.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:Carousel of Progress.
Speaker A:This is like back and forth on this.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:This is one that gets a lot of.
Speaker B:It's polarizing.
Speaker A:Very much so.
Speaker B:And I am going to be on the end.
Speaker B:That's going to give it a D. Yeah.
Speaker A:D. I gave it a B.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker A:I love the concept.
Speaker A:And again, we all need breaks at the park.
Speaker A:Especially if you get older.
Speaker A:You all need breaks with the kids.
Speaker A:The problem is.
Speaker A:And they knew this a long time ago, it was never going to hold up.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:They.
Speaker A:They knew as soon as they built this that it was never going to hold up.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And I've made the point.
Speaker A:You've got another generation that's coming up.
Speaker A:This thing starts in the 20s.
Speaker A:The 20s.
Speaker A:And supposed to go 20s, 40s.
Speaker A:Oh, maybe even the turn of the century.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:Maybe it's.
Speaker A:Maybe it's.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:We've already lapped it a long time ago.
Speaker A:Again.
Speaker A:Again, turn of the century.
Speaker A:20s, 40s, and then modern.
Speaker A:The between the 40s and modern is too, too, too long.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:And I just don't think they have.
Speaker A:They want the resources to.
Speaker A:To redo this.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:I think it's just keep it the way Walt designed it.
Speaker A:Keep it the way it is.
Speaker A:I think they're using it as a.
Speaker A:Load them up and let's minimize the park crowd and give people a space.
Speaker B:Agree.
Speaker A:And then we'll have a really, really catchy Sherman Brothers song that people will hum.
Speaker B:That's right.
Speaker A:But that's pretty much it.
Speaker A:This is.
Speaker A:Is sort of a nap.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:But again, as far as a ride goes, I love the idea of like, you're spinning.
Speaker A:You're seeing different scenes.
Speaker A:It's pretty cool.
Speaker A:But when you get to the last scene, it's like, this is.
Speaker A: This is: Speaker B:Right.
Speaker B:We are not.
Speaker B:We're not in the modern era.
Speaker A:They're not in Modern Air at all.
Speaker A:The Tomorrowland Transit Authority People Mover.
Speaker B:Oh, yeah.
Speaker B:That one's an A plus.
Speaker A:It's an A plus, right?
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:This is again, my argument with my wife.
Speaker A:Life.
Speaker A:Why don't people love this?
Speaker B:Well, have you noticed, though, lately, the lines have gotten really big.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:And so that I'm a little discouraged by.
Speaker B:Because I used to love.
Speaker A:This wasn't an easy walk.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And the other reason, too, is that it was, again, you're.
Speaker A:We always talk about lines, the ones that constantly move.
Speaker A:This is constantly moving.
Speaker A:Two, two.
Speaker A:Right there, there, there.
Speaker A:Like, as you're going, and you go up that.
Speaker A:You know, that flat escalator thing.
Speaker A:This is a great, great ride through Tomorrowland.
Speaker A:And not only.
Speaker A:It's not.
Speaker A:It's not just going around.
Speaker A:There's a narrator.
Speaker A:It shows you different things.
Speaker A:It.
Speaker A:You can go inside Space Mountain when it's running.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:And see it.
Speaker A:I love it.
Speaker A:I love it.
Speaker A:I write it all the time.
Speaker A:I love it.
Speaker A:All right, so those are our grades for the magic attractions.
Speaker A:I didn't know if I was missing any.
Speaker A:I did most of this on my top.
Speaker B:No, I think you got everything.
Speaker A:All right.
Speaker A:Very, very good.
Speaker A:Good.
Speaker A:All right, so now let's give you my review of Garden Grill.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:So this came.
Speaker A:You came.
Speaker A:You told me about this.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:Highly recommend.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:So my.
Speaker A:My parents went and went there.
Speaker A:They loved it.
Speaker A:I went down to help my father and my mother and father with some projects around the house.
Speaker A:Had to fix a fence in the middle of July.
Speaker A:I fixed some of their pool, and with my birthday coming up, they're like, let's go to Epcot and have a good time.
Speaker A:And they booked Garden Grill.
Speaker A:So it's very cool for me as an older person to go with my older parents.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:And we had a good time chatting and all of that stuff and seeing, you know, walking around, seeing Epcot.
Speaker A:So we had a dinner reservation at Garden Grill, and I loved it.
Speaker A:I think this is a missing jewel that I think a lot of people should know about.
Speaker B:Where were you seated?
Speaker B:Were you seated on the bottom level or up?
Speaker A:Up.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker A:I think.
Speaker B:But you could still see down into the land and.
Speaker A:Yes, exactly.
Speaker A:Exactly.
Speaker A:And I.
Speaker A:The whole idea of, like, getting your seat and then pretty much returning to that location.
Speaker A:Like, returning to the exit within the hour.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:Like having a meal and then being kind of done and then getting out and leaving with all, you know, the characters were coming by.
Speaker A:We had a good time.
Speaker A:We took some pictures, laughed and joked and whatnot.
Speaker A:But the food was delicious.
Speaker A:Yes, it's absolutely delicious.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:I thought the turkey was some of the best turkey I've had.
Speaker A:You know, it was that.
Speaker A:That delicious.
Speaker A:And the beans and the potatoes and the Mac and cheese, it was all great.
Speaker B:Did you have the steak as well?
Speaker A:I did.
Speaker A:I did have the flying ste as well, and that was excellent.
Speaker A:But the one thing I wanted more and more with those potatoes.
Speaker B:Oh, yeah.
Speaker A:I mean, the potatoes and the turkey.
Speaker A:I want both of those.
Speaker B:And the dessert.
Speaker B:The dessert here is excellent.
Speaker A:Very good.
Speaker A:We had the strawberry shortcake.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:And then I got.
Speaker A:Because it was.
Speaker A:I was wearing a birthday badge, I got a little flower pot with the cake and the mousse and everything, and that was great.
Speaker A:I think it's.
Speaker A:Look, if you're.
Speaker A:I get it.
Speaker A:If you're looking for character meals and you.
Speaker A:And I did a podcast on character meals, there are different characters you're going to want to see.
Speaker A:This is Pluto, Mickey Chippendale, if that meets your criteria.
Speaker A:Area.
Speaker A:If it's.
Speaker A:Maybe you just want to see Chip and Dale or you just want to see Mickey.
Speaker A:This should be on your radar for character diet.
Speaker B:Absolutely.
Speaker B:And I love it because it's served family style.
Speaker B:You don't have to get out of your seat and go fix everybody's plates and then come back.
Speaker B:It's brought to you.
Speaker B:So it feels a little less chaotic.
Speaker A:At the salad and the cornbread, I was a little nervous how much of the cornbread I was actually eating because I was afraid I wasn't going to eat a lot of the main meal.
Speaker A:The cornbread was that delicious.
Speaker B:It is.
Speaker A:And this, again, the whole.
Speaker A:The whole thing of feeling like.
Speaker A:Like you if.
Speaker A:Especially if you ride the land, which was what we did.
Speaker A:We rode the land and then had the dinner, which I highly recommend.
Speaker A:So if you have a reservation, book some time to ride the land because you're getting that feeling of.
Speaker A:I'm getting really fresh food.
Speaker A:I'm getting really fresh.
Speaker B:It's coming from right there.
Speaker A:It's coming from right there.
Speaker A:So everything is just really, really delicious.
Speaker A:So garden grill.
Speaker A:Outstanding.
Speaker B:Oh, I'm so glad you liked it.
Speaker A:Yeah, it was very, very cool, I will say so.
Speaker A:My day at Epcot, we.
Speaker B:We.
Speaker A:We had.
Speaker A:We got there a little bit late, got to pretty much ride everything we rode.
Speaker A:I know that Spaceship Earth is going down for refurbishment.
Speaker A:Thank God.
Speaker A:Because when we rode it, you could just.
Speaker B:You can feel the track.
Speaker B:It.
Speaker A:It feels like a tired ride that needs a.
Speaker A:Like, if it was a person, it would be like, I just need.
Speaker A:I just need to stop.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:Like, it just feels like it's.
Speaker B:It's like you need to get out and push.
Speaker A:God.
Speaker A:It's just like.
Speaker A:It just felt like it needed.
Speaker A:It definitely needs a little bit more refurbishment.
Speaker A:We were on Guardians of the galaxy for two.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker A:It said 75 minutes, and we didn't know until later that one of the rides, one of the roller coasters had gone down.
Speaker A:And so I've said many times, I wish Disney had a way of telling people, yes, look, one of one's down.
Speaker A:It's gonna be much longer if you want out of this thing.
Speaker A:Yeah, there's some exits, just hit them because people were flying out.
Speaker A:Even they weren't knowing what was going on.
Speaker A:But you know, my father, who goes there all the time, and he kind of felt like something was wrong just based on the.
Speaker A:On the way the line wasn't mo.
Speaker A:It's like something's not right.
Speaker A:Something's not right.
Speaker A:And then we moved, got closer and somebody said, oh yeah, yeah, they, yeah, they.
Speaker B:Absolutely.
Speaker A:One of them went down.
Speaker B:Should add.
Speaker A:It happened to us at Christmas.
Speaker A:We.
Speaker A:When we stood in line for Buzz Lightyear, which I wasn't a fan of, but my family all wanted to do it.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:But again, that ride was too.
Speaker A:It just didn't.
Speaker A:It just was too slow.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:And when we got.
Speaker A:There's always breaking down all the time, it was stopping all the time.
Speaker A:So I was like, I wish there was somebody that could say to the line, hey, this is not really, really our day with this.
Speaker A:I, I get it.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:You're trying to just act on the emergency and not deal with the crowd.
Speaker A:But, but other than that, it was a rather easy day for the summer.
Speaker A:And it was really fun.
Speaker A:The golf was the best, I think because it was Disney golf.
Speaker A:It was like it.
Speaker A:If you, if you are thinking about playing golf at Disney World, there are three main courses that are there.
Speaker A:This was a nine hole executive course.
Speaker A:When I say executive course, it's a short, short.
Speaker A:Some of the holes are long, like par fives, but.
Speaker A:But it's short.
Speaker A:It's kind of built for families.
Speaker A:Like if you have a family and like one of the kids doesn't play or whoever, like, and you just want to get some clubs and just.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:And let's see.
Speaker A:Let's have some fun.
Speaker A:This was that kind of course.
Speaker B:That's awesome.
Speaker A:Some of the holes were really, you know, short and pretty, pretty easy.
Speaker A:It got a little bit more difficult on the back end.
Speaker A:But like there was a water hazard and if you hit the ball in the water hazard, you go to the drop zone.
Speaker A:The drop zone is, is in regular courses is a circle.
Speaker A:They do a Mickey Mouse with a big Goofy sign that says drop circle.
Speaker A:There's a Mickey Mouse shaped bunker.
Speaker A:Like there's.
Speaker A:They're really.
